Whimsical abstract brown ceramic salt and pepper shakers designed by Hungarian born Ava Zeisel in the 1940’s. Designed after the Lil’ Abner SHMOO comic character. This pair is in perfect vintage condition with a beautiful glaze finish. There are no chips or cracks. The corks are in excellent vintage condition. I have not tried to remove them. There are tiny ink marks on the bottom of the large shaker. This is a vintage item sold “as is“. It was purchased at an estate sale.
