The US military's M-65 pants, arguably the most famous military pants.
The design, which can be called the synonym of cargo pants, was adopted in the 60s, but it is a masterpiece that doesn't feel outdated even now. This is a pair that symbolizes the US military, with a durable twill fabric made of a cotton and nylon blend and a woodland camo pattern printed all over.
The M-65 field cargo pants, along with the M-65 field jacket, were officially adopted by the US military in 1965.
Developed as a successor to the M-51 field cargo pants used in the Korean War, they were at the forefront until the beginning of 1981 when the replacement to BDU began. Originally made for cold regions, they feature a wide silhouette that allows for a liner to be worn underneath.
It is expected that it will become increasingly rare to find deadstock M-65s in the future. These are genuine military surplus items, which are finite.
