This amazing framed (Art Deco)? print of Isabella and the Pot of Basil by John White Alexander, is stunning. The original was done in 1897 and it hangs in the Museum of Fine Arts. This image was based on a narrative poem by John Keats. It measures 12 x 20.5 inches x 1 inch, in frame. Print is 16.5 x 8. The story behind this is beautiful yet tragic. This particular one was gifted to someone in the early 1900’s. It has a hand written note on the back. Real interesting piece. The frame has a antique tortoise shell color. It’s in tact but paper backing is torn due to age.
